security.dialog_enable_delay // extensions.checkCompatibility
Image via WikipediaFirefox has a few seconds delay before it let you click the install button on the new addons installation. That might be annoying to some folks, Here how to disable this feature.. yet before reading that check the article wrote by squarefree.com
- Go to about:config.
- Edit that value of “
security.dialog_enable_delay” to 0 - You’re done.
Now, when a new version of firefox is released not all addons available is compatible with it yet and this needs to be changed by the developer of that addons so you can use it with the updated version of firefox.
Firefox has a way to check addons compatibility and tells you whether it can be installed or not. you can deactivate that by the following steps:
- Go to about:config.
- Right click > New > Boolean.
- Enter the name “extensions.checkCompatibility”
- Set it to false.
Be careful when you’re installing addons from now on; as some extensions might cause firefox to crash and some could just not work. If that happened start firefox in safe mode and disable whatever you’ve installed
